Reasons to use Alternative Routes.
Our hop-on-hop-off gives you the option to plan your trip on the fly and travel at your own pace. You get to decide where to get off and how long to stay. To guarantee a seat, we recommend booking, but if a seat is available, we'll let you have it, right up to the time of departure.
No GPS, no problem. Let us do the navigating. We've practiced driving these roads so that you don't have to. Take the pressure off, sit back, relax, and enjoy the view. We care tremendously about our cargo and thats why we take absolute care to learn everything we can about the route and to always be cautious.
We've got room for just about anything, bikes, camping gear, strollers, you name it! Really, name it: If it's more than one suitcase and personal item, let us know when you make your booking so that we can best accommodate you. And if you can't manage it yourself, we ask that you leave it at home.
Not only will our driver feel more like your friend than your tour guide when you get off, you'll also get the pleasure of being surrounded by people who like the same things you do. In a tour around Nova Scotia you may just get a global experience. Expect to meet some new friends along the way!
Did you know by carpooling just twice a week, 1,600 pounds of greenhouse gases can be reduced in our air each year? So, why rent that car? You get the same flexibility when you travel with us plus you can reduce your carbon foot print and your travel costs.

A few things some good people have said about us.
CBC News Nova Scotia
"The van will travel a daily loop from Halifax, down the south shore to Bridgewater, then across the province to Middleton, and through the Annapolis Valley to Halifax again. The return trip will take about eight hours, with a half hour stop in Peggys Cove, and hour-long stops in both Lunenburg and Wolfville."
THE COAST
"It’s not that she doesn’t like the city, but as an avid traveller herself Bambrick has long been perplexed by how inaccessible the rest of the province—even high tourist-traffic areas—can be...Her solution has been in the works for about two years, taking inspiration from a year-long backpacking trip through Europe and Africa.
